Lagos goverment announces dates for postponed examinations
On Tuesday, the Lagos State Ministry of Education announced fresh dates for three recent state government-postponed examinations.
Ms. Adeleye Olatokunboh, the Ministry's Permanent Secretary, said the three delayed exams included: Basic Education Certificate Examination (BECE) for Junior Secondary School III students, Lagos State Model Colleges and upgraded junior high schools.
Others are the Lagos State Public Secondary School placement test.
"The BECE will take place from July 15th to July 24th, while the screening test will take place on July 20th at Lagos State Model Colleges and upgraded high schools.

"The placement exam was planned for July 27 in government high schools in Lagos State," she said in a declaration.
According to the declaration, Dr. Oluwafemi Hassan, Director of the Lagos State Examinations Board, the board is prepared to perform the examinations smoothly, Hassan encouraged parents and guardians to take note of the fresh dates and prepare their kids and wards accordingly.
The Nigeria News Agency (NAN) claims that, owing to conditions beyond its control, the state government delayed the examinations on May 31.
