Breaking: UNIBEN final-year student rushed to hospital after taking sniper
The campus of Benin University, Ugbowo, was tossed into chaos on Saturday as news filtered in a young woman (names withheld) said attempted suicide.Sources said the girl, said she was a final year accounting department student and a hall-one hostel resident, took the lethal sniper but was instantly rushed to the hospital when her action was found.
Whether her attempted suicide is the consequence of a heart break is uncertain.
"The girl took a sniper, but she was very fortunate that individuals noticed it very soon and she was rushed to the University of Benin teaching hospital, UBTH, where she was put for therapy with oxygen. But we don't really understand what the outcome will be. Na sniper dey reigns well,'' said the source.
Sources further said a student crossing the street from the opposite side was engaged in an accident while another student was running crazy in preparing for the upcoming test during the night reading class.

Nevertheless, he rejected the other ones that engaged a student in an accident and the other one that went crazy.
"First of all, I want to inform you that there is no incident like an accident from our record and that of the student running crazy but we are conscious of the one involving the suicide attempt. The individual is at the hospital of the university and the parents are there to look after her," added Osasuyi.
